Club Information
Zonta International Mission Statement: Zonta International
is a
world wide service organization of executives in business and the
professions working together to advance the status of women.
District 12 Mission Statement: Zonta District 12's purpose
is
to build, develop, and maintain strong clubs through support, leadership
and communications in order to further the mission of Zonta International.
Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area Mission Statement: To
advance
the status of women and serve our community through local and international
contributions, and to achieve personal and professional growth in a
nurturing and supportive environment.
Rocky Mountain Online Archive - Pikes Peak Library District Special
Collections
has inventoried and now retains our club records and documents. A list of

The Pikes Peak Area Club celebrated its 50th anniversary in
1999.
Colorado Springs Mayor MaryLou Makepeace declared August 21,
1999, "Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area Day"
Zonta club members (l to r) Betty Edwards, Karen Pauley, Sharon Roggy,
Kate Brewster, Kim Kiick and Susie Nulty joined Colorado Springs Mayor
MaryLou Makepeace as she signed a proclamation declaring August 21, 1999
"Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area Day." This recognition honors the club
on it's 50th anniversary.
